I like drinking coffee alone, and reading alone.
I like riding the bus alone, and walking home alone.
It gives me time to think, and set my mind free.
I like eating alone, and listening to music alone.
But when I see a mother with her child;
A girl with her lover;
Or a friend laughing with their best friend;
I realize that even though I like being alone
I don’t fancy being lonely.

I’ve just been reading people freaking out at Target in the US no longer labeling their toys “girls” and “boys”. A fairly common response is something like “How will I know what to get my granddaughter for her birthday if I don’t know which are the girl’s toys?” Hmm, well, what does your granddaughter like? Maybe you could actually get to know her and find out what her interests are rather than treating her as a generic representative of her assigned gender. Just a thought.
Oh you were reading a book about some idiot
And telling me about another
I was so severely underwhelmed
I thought I might never recover
Straighten the rudder girl
And sail me up stairs
And go and find somebody
Who cares
ll we might not be the perfect partners
But tonight we make a pair
To students taking AP classes for the first time
• do not slack off
• do your reading
• do not procrastinate
• do your reading
• pay attention to every single detail
• do your reading
• do not rush
• D O Y O U R R E A D I N G
- sincerely, an AP student
ideas that would make a better superbowl show than katy perry singing
- chris pratt reading a list of all the male celebrities he’s said he’d bang
- chris evans trying on different shirts
- taylor swift reading her grocery list
- beyonce reading her mentions
- nicki minaj trying on shoes
It makes me so happy when I see people on the street or sitting on a corner reading a book. In those times all I want to do is talk to them to know what are they reading
I control myself, though. Because no one likes to be interrupted when they are reading. ❤
Besides reading, it seems like a majority of book blogs also share a common interest in feminism, sexual/gender identity acceptance, advocating against violence and rape, and basically all around just being decent human beings instead of shitty ones. It’s almost like reading opens up your mind…
I really don’t get why it’s absurd for a boy to like reading books nowadays…
IT’S NOT. IT’S FUCKING SEXY. KEEP READING, MY MANLY FRIENDS.
Agreed!
Do you hear this boys?...
[reading fic]
[cute thing happens between otp]
[covers face]
[grins]
[slides down in chair and pulls legs up]
[long high pitched whine]
[straightens self out and continues reading]
Reading is a personal experience.
Everyone reads differently, takes care of their books differently, and likes different genres.
The way someone else experiences reading does NOT affect you in any way.
You are in no way better or worse than someone else because of the way you read.
So please stop with the judgmental posts.
